There are many values that I orient my life around.
Let me share with you several of my values so you get a better idea of this concept.
I really appreciate the ability to 'learn, grow and share' myself with my friends and family. I value being a constant learner which fuels my inquisitiveness to look at life as one huge learning laboratory, where I get to experiment on new things daily. (How many people like to develop their own websites - most are left for the designers. Not me! It provides a way for me to express myself with out being dependent on others).
This provides guidance to another value of using my 'wisdom' effectively so we can learn together. With these values of 'learning' and 'wisdom', my uniqueness blossoms.
Another value for me is 'freedom' - of expression, of living, of movement, etc. (My ability to display myself in multiple ways). Being restricted does not work for me. It was not until I started working with a COACH that I was able to appreciate what my 'freedom' value means for me.
I struggled for years with TRYING to fit into what I thought was good for me. I found out that "fitting in" was not accepting me. So, as I use my wisdom more effectively, I see better opportunities for what I'm naturally good at doing, and follow those opportunities.
