JumpStart is a program developed by CoachU to provide coaching at a reduced rate to help a new coach get started with more ease.
I was attracted to the coaching profession in 1996 when I read the article in New Age magazine called 'coaching'. People hire coaches to help with transformational issues we all face in daily life. At that time I was a geriatric social worker working with families, groups and individuals in helping them find the best answers for their issues. I had been using the coaching model since the early 90's, though never had a name for it. It fits so well! My professional interests were shifting, so taking a more proactive stance in my career was essential for my personal health.
In 1996 I joined CoachU, and graduated in 1998, and am currently finishing up my course work in Corporate CoachU. I work with very insightful souls that let their spirits sing. These could be executives, entrepreneurs, professionals or family business owners that want more in their life without struggling. Most of my clients are in their late forties, early fifties, and searching to develop a values based life. We get to define, design, develop and deliver what they're looking for in the coaching relationship. I walk along with my clients and provide an encouraging and supportive coaching style that let's their personal brilliance shine. Each client is different, though all of them would agree that our relationship is about their success.
As I look back at my coaching profession, I recognize that building a strong personal foundation helped me build my practice into a desirable business. This has not been easy, though the time I spent on myself was well worth it. That's an essential part of building a strong personal business. I hope you agree!
